Hallo ihr Lieben,
Regen, Regen und nochmals Regen – so sah unser heutiger Tag aus. Wir haben uns daher gemütlich im RV verkrochen und das Prasseln auf dem Dach einfach zum Teil des Tages gemacht. Manchmal ist genau das der Reiz: keine großen Pläne, sondern die Ruhe annehmen, die das Wetter mit sich bringt.
Rain, rain, and even more rain – that’s what our day looked like today. We cozied up inside the RV and let the sound of raindrops on the roof become part of the day. Sometimes that’s the charm: no big plans, just embracing the calm that the weather brings.
Doch der Himmel hatte ein Einsehen: Am Abend brach die Sonne noch einmal durch die Wolken und tauchte die Küste in goldenes Licht. Für uns war das das Signal, den Tag mit einem besonderen Highlight zu beenden.
But the sky showed some mercy: in the evening the sun finally broke through the clouds and bathed the coastline in golden light. For us, that was the perfect signal to end the day with a special highlight.
Geplant war ein Besuch in der Fasssauna – und diesmal nicht allein. Gemeinsam mit vier uns bisher unbekannten Kanadiern in unserem Alter aus Calgary genossen wir die Wärme, den Blick auf den Ozean und den Austausch in entspannter Runde. Aus Fremden wurde für einen Abend eine kleine Social-Gruppe, die das gleiche Glück teilte: einen regnerischen Tag mit einem besonderen Erlebnis zu beschließen.
A barrel sauna session was on the schedule – and this time, not just for us. Together with four Canadians from Calgary, about our age and new to us until that evening, we enjoyed the warmth, the ocean view, and the relaxed conversations. For one evening, strangers turned into a small social group, sharing the same joy: ending a rainy day with a special experience.
Nun lassen wir den Abend wieder ruhig ausklingen – eingekuschelt in Decken, mit einem Glas Whiskey in der Hand und dem gleichmäßigen Trommeln des Regens auf dem Dach. Ein perfekter Abschluss für diesen Tag.
Now we are ending the evening in the coziest way – wrapped in blankets, with a glass of whiskey in hand, and the steady drumming of rain on the roof. A perfect closing to this day.
Da wir morgen früh loswandern wollen und anschließend im Inland unhooked übernachten, gibt es den Beitrag diesmal schon am Abend – und nicht wie sonst erst am nächsten Tag.
